Licknbounce Boxers, Fort Wayne, Indiana

You can see Molly and Jake's puppies growing up on Facebook under Molly and Jake's puppies (group).  It's a good way to see what the pups will look like as they grow.

06/14/10 Well Molly seems to be surprising us all.  Molly and Jake's puppies will be born August 16 to as late as August 19.  If this is like her last cycle, the 16th will be the date the puppies are born.  We will take her August 2nd for x-rays.

Boxer puppy care

Our puppies have their own personalities.  They have sweet temperments, super colors, great conformation.  They are raised in our home with their Mom and Dad, in a very clean atmosphere, and well socialized.  They have their tails and dew claws done within 3 days of their birth.  Worming is done as needed with panacur and they will have their first innoculations (at 8 weeks) before leaving to go to their new homes.  They are started on Eukanuba puppy canned food, then Eukanuba Large Breed puppy food and we recommend the Eukanuba Boxer formula when they are 1-2 years old.  We have a 1 year guarantee that you can read about on the puppy agreement page.  We stand behind our Boxers and will take them back anytime if you decide you can not keep them.  (See details on agreement)

Puppies come with their own folder including care sheet, shot records, small bag of Eukanuba puppy food, contract, and AKC puppy papers. Our puppies are $800, unless noted.  White puppies, if any, come with limited registration and are $300.

There is a $100 nonrefundable/nontransferable deposit to hold your puppy.  Should we not have the right puppy for you, your deposit will roll over to the next litter.  We accept a check for the deposit however on the day you pick up the pup, we do require cash for the balance.

We email pictures at least once a week of your new Boxer puppy.  If you ask, we will take more pictures as we know you will want to see them often.

When planning to see one of our puppies, please wear shoes that have not been exposed to dog parks, dog beaches, pet stores, Vet's offices or any place that might be hazards to the puppies if possible.  Virus' can be tracked by stepping into a contaminated dog's fecus.  It is contagious and easy to transmit.  Please leave your family pets at home, we are sorry but we do not allow any outside dogs near our Boxers or their puppies for the safety of our new Mom and her babies.  If you are planning to visit to see your puppy please wear fresh clothing and wash your hands with bacterial soap.  Molly (mom) can be particular about her puppies and can be uncomfortable with unfamiliar scents on her babies.  You know the old saying... better safe than sorry.  This is not directed to anyone in particular.  The average person getting a puppy doesn't think about these things, they are overwhelmed with the excitment of getting a new Boxer puppy and may need a bit of education about the process.  Some of the vaccines are not done until 6-8 weeks so we want to keep them healthy and happy for you.

When coming to see the puppies, we do not show Molly for a few weeks after the birth of her babies for a number of reasons.  1.  She may be too protective and not want you to hold her babies even if it is safe to do so.  2.  She is tired after all the work and the excitment of new people can be hard on her those first few weeks.  3.  We do not want to expose her to virus' while she is suspectible in the first weeks.  Jake (the Daddy) will be more than happy to meet you!  He loves new people and wants to play.  As the weeks go on, you can get to know Molly when you come for a visit.  We have a large grassy park on our property.  The puppies, Mom and Dad will love to play with you there.

Thank you for understanding our concerns and keeping the puppies safe.  Molly and Jake mean the world to us as I'm sure their babies will to you.

Puppy pick-up day.  We would suggest you do not wear white or your favorite outfit.  Molly and Jake will want to meet you and they love to play.  Then you will get to take delivery of your new Boxer puppy and see their litter mates.  This process can take up to an hour with the paperwork and going over the care instructions.

Our work is then coming to an end.  However, you can always call or email us with any questions you might have.  We know there can be many and we love to help you because it helps Molly and Jake's babies have a wonderful, happy, playful life.  We do hope you will send us pictures and updates on how the puppies are doing.   We are on Facebook at Molly and Jakes puppies group.

We do not ship our puppies.  Think of it this way... would you want your precious baby, at 8-12 weeks old, on an airplane alone?  Molly and Jake would not!  We will drive and deliver, in nearby states, your puppy if it is a reasonable distance at the cost of our expenses.  This can be much less than an airplane cost also.  We will also meet you part way at the cost of our expenses (mileage and/or lodging).
